18 months behind the scenes
What it took to rebuild V3.
Rebuilt for modern Magento
V3 moves the plugin onto a cleaner base for today's platform requirements, easier maintenance, and future checkout work.
Two versions, one rollout
For much of the rebuild, fixes and features had to land in both V2 and V3 — keeping merchants supported while V3 took shape.
Checkout's hardest edge
Express Components was the trickiest part: shifting requirements, multiple entry points, and payments starting before a Magento order exists.
Testability mattered
Magmodules and Mollie’s Integrations team had to validate complex flows where full test modes were not always available.
Feature highlights
What changed in V3.
More control over payment flows, faster checkout options, and a cleaner setup experience for merchants.
Payment control
Checkout upgrades
Cleaner setup
Technical foundation
A cleaner payment core.
V3 removes legacy complexity and gives the plugin a more stable, maintainable base for future Magento development.
